L.T. Smith

Born and raised a Manchester girl, LT Smith moved to Norfolk when she was seventeen. Since then, she has fiddled with this and that (mainly that) and eventually went into teaching teenagers English and Drama. Spending time with her writing, she believes this enables her to have time for herself instead of sorting out the sex lives of fifteen year olds or constantly saying ‘Tuck your shirt in’ or ‘Put him down’. Linda has two Border Terriers who are sometimes like butter, whilst at others appear to be auditioning for ‘Krays: the Musical’. She believes they have taught her that love can be unconditional, and it doesn’t matter about your looks, your smell (although stinky is better), how much money you have in the bank, as long as you love them in return then life is sweet. Something that she wishes we could all do – although the stinky part could be negotiated.

Hearts and Flowers Border was the first piece of fiction Linda had ever written, but this was shortly followed by Beginnings, a novel that is basically her life in a nutshell. LT Smith has just been awarded the Lesbian Fiction Readers Choice Award for Humour and Comedy for her novel Once.
