Nicole Pollifrone

Nicole Pollifrone“The poetry that I write, I want to be relatable to everyone. I tend not to write anything too flowery, convoluted or wordy. I write the things I feel at the time, and I think raw emotion is universal.”

Nicole grew up in north western New York State until, as a teenager she and her parents moved to Florida. From her mother, Nicole learned an appreciation for language, theater and art. However, her love of poetry began when her 5th grade teacher published Nicole’s poem in the school’s annual publication. She has been writing poetry therapeutically ever since. As an adult, Nicole found her way into law enforcement, later as a Private Investigator, and currently works as an anti-money laundering/due diligence investigator for a large financial institution. She still lives in the hurricane capital with her partner of 6 years and has grown to love the warmth, the ocean, year-round campfires and the winter sunshine. This is Nicole’s first published body of work.
