Jay Michaelson

Jay Michaelson is an lez(elder)bian who has been out for 30 years and experienced most of the lesbian lifespan transitions, sometimes with grace and humor, and sometimes with bitterness and disappointment.  She has always been on the margins of lesbian community because of her allergies to cats and dogs, giving her a unique outsider perspective.  Jay has experienced both rural and urban dyke communities and has learned not to take herself too seriously.
