G. Carlos Smith lives with his spouse and their
three children in Woodside, California. He is a partner in the
Silicon Valley office of a large international law firm.
As readers will no doubt guess, he has a long history and interest
in music. In his youth, he appeared as a soloist with the Utah
Symphony in the historic Mormon Tabernacle, and he performed with
that orchestra again several times thereafter. He also performed
with the Stanford Symphony after winning their annual concerto
competition and various other awards. He graduated from Stanford
with a double major in Music and History before completing law
school at Columbia.
