Synopsis:
In June of 1987 Jackson Fouchet stepped off the Greyhound at the Port Authority bus terminal and into Times Square. He was young, free, and searching for...something; running from or toward what, he didn’t yet know.
A chance encounter with a young hustler one fateful night led to a meeting with Mr. B, the mob-connected owner of multiple clubs on Times Square, all under fire from a new mayor embarking on an anti-sleaze campaign directed squarely at The Deuce. Jackson spent the next 20 years of his life, coming of age on the streets: navigating the mob-controlled sex trade, the politicians trying to eradicate it, and the misfits living it.
But, a call forces him to return to his native New Orleans and a family stuck in grief. Here, Jackson meets a young man, a kindergarten teacher who gives him a reason to finally stop running.
Coming home proves harder than coming out in this gritty story about love, family, and acceptance.
