Synopsis:

Jake Sheridan (POV) is off to college in upstate New York. After a rough life, he’s a little nervous about this new beginning, but he’s fought hard to overcome his past and he’s determined for this time to be different. Good-looking and confident, Jake quickly attracts the attention of both girls and guys on campus.

Kody Kingsley (POV) is a student at the same college. He’s one of the guys who couldn’t help noticing Jake, and he’s developed an instant crush. He’s sure someone like Jake would never notice him though.

Jake’s roommate Foster is a homophobic jerk, and Foster’s dimwitted buddy Slug always seems to be around. Jake quickly makes friends with the RA for his building, the lovely Erin, her handsome boyfriend Carlos, and various members of the school’s GSA, Toshi, Miranda, and Alex.

Kody’s friends are mainly Max and Marla, his boss and coworker at the coffee shop, and Nick, his neighbor. They all try giving Kody relationship advice, but every time he sees Jake, everything seems to go wrong. Kody ends up getting so upset that he gets drunk at a party and gets into a fight with Jake’s roommate Foster. Jake comes to his rescue and the two finally start to getting to know each other.
